Painting on Silk, Outdoors

Wet silk cannot be controlled, and that is the point. Pigment is applied on the terrace, then the cloth is pinned out and the weather finishes the work.

Some panels are discarded. The ones that survive keep the exact record of one afternoon of wind and light.
